5 minute word test

Every Friday Room 6 has 5 minutes to write as many words as they can. Their goal is to write more words than they did last time. This week the children in Room 6 wrote 446 words, that's an average of 19 words per child.

This week Candayce wrote 39 words which was 16 more than she wrote last week. Way to go Candayce!

The following children all managed to better their best score this week: Dylan, Fynn, Harrison, Izzy, Jacob, Jessica, Jethro, Rielly, Silas, Ted, Toma, and Will.

Well done Room 6, many of you did your best this week.

This is a useful activity to practise spelling - word family knowledge, in this case - writing lists of rhyming words is a helpful way to reinforce some correct spellings.  Feel free to do this activity at home, you might be surprised at how many words your child can write.
