Maths time - statistics - graphs

The task was to ask peers which they like best from a choice of three similar things. Each child has decided what they would like to find out. Children have done this activity twice before, and are now better at choosing three similar things, and working out who and how to ask their question.

Here are some conversations that were had during this activity.

"What do you like best? XBox, Playstation or Wii?"
"I like the Wii, I have Mario Kart and I like playing it. I'm trying to move onto the next level."

"Can you please answer my question? What do you like best? Turtles, fish or eels?"
"I like eels, I like the way they go in the water."

Can you please sign my paper? What do you like best? Elephant, lion or meerkat.
"Hmm, I think I like lion best."

What a great way to find out about each other and learn names. Tomorrow we will be writing about what we found out.

  1. We also had fun choosing which things we liked best from the lists Fynn brought home.
